Recycling and Waste Management

Thursday, 10 May 2018

There's been a lot of attention lately on changes to recycling at other councils.

Brisbane residents do an excellent job at reducing waste and keeping our recycling sorted. We want to assure everyone these changes at other councils do not affect Brisbane residents.

In your yellow-top bin, you can recycle paper, cardboard, metal (aluminium and steel), firm plastic packaging and glass packaging materials.

Please don't place any of the following items in your yellow-top bin: plastic bags, nappies, kitchen food scraps, textiles, batteries or garden waste.

Thanks for your efforts to keep Brisbane clean, green and sustainable.
