Fitness for free in Ascot Park
Posted on Monday, 28 November, 2011
Work is currently underway for the installation of fitness equipment in Ascot Park, on the corner of McGill Avenue and Kitchener Road.
I've received a number of requests from residents for the introduction of fitness equipment in our local area and I'm pleased to be part of Council's Quirk Administration, delivering on 'back to basics' in Brisbane's suburbs.
The equipment will comprise three circuit installations: a pull-up and dip; chest/back press, balance steps and ab crunch/leg lift; and plymetrics and tai-chi.
The equipment utilises the latest exercise methodologies to provide a tailored workout for teens and adults of all fitness levels and I encourage everyone to put these new additions to the test.
The installation should be completed, weather permitting, by mid December
