Newstead and Teneriffe to receive kerbside collection service

Council’s annual general item kerbside collection service will be carried out in Newstead and Teneriffe the week commencing Monday 5 December.

Acceptable items for collection include furniture and white goods; household appliances including stoves; carpet and lino; bath and laundry tubs; wood products; and bicycles.

Unacceptable items include vegetation, dirt, stones and potted plants; construction waste such as bricks and concrete; car parts and tyres; general household waste; liquids and hazardous waste including paints and chemicals; gas bottles; and glass.

Unacceptable items will not be collected and should they remain on the footpath, illegal dumping fines may apply. If you are unsure whether an item is acceptable, please consult on Council on 3403 8888.

It is asked any items for collection are placed on the footpath the Sunday prior to the commencement of the service, on Sunday 4 December.
